Maple Cashew Granola

This is some delicious granola. Topped with fresh fruit and yogurt it is a great way to start the day. You can enjoy it, then ask at the counter to find one of Big Sur's best hikes.

Yield, four pounds

  • 8 cups Organic rolled oats
  • 4 cups Organic wheat flakes
  • 1 1/3 cups Organic oat bran
  • 1 1/3 cups Non-fat dry powdered milk
  • ½ cup Sesame seeds
  • 2 cups Cashews
  • 6 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 2/3 cups Maple syrup
  • 1 1/3 cups Safflower oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3-4 Oranges zest and juice

Mix ingredients together well. Spread onto two lined baking sheets and toast on low, 250 degrees F. Stir often until golden brown. Cool before bagging.
