Happy Holidays from Nepenthe!

As the holiday season brings us together, we are thankful for all those that have made our 75th year anniversary extraordinary!

Nestled on the isle of no sorrow, Nepenthe has grown into a legacy, built on a labor of love and the relationships we have built with our cherished community.

This season, as you gather with loved ones, we invite you to reflect with us on the spirit of connection and traditions. Whether you’ve been an honored guest with us for many years or are new to our journey we are endlessly grateful.

Holiday Decorations.

The beauty of ornaments decorating a Christmas tree lies in their ability to transform a simple evergreen into a dazzling centerpiece of holiday cheer. The varying colors, textures, and intricate designs come together and reflect the wonder and warmth felt throughout the holiday season.

Many ornaments used in our tree decorating have been handmade with love by the family. Our founder, Lolly, would save the tin-can lids from the restaurant to repurpose during the holidays. Each golden lid was hammered against the trunk of a redwood tree. The small indentations captured and reflected the soft glow of candlelight.

Our yearly tradition.

Each year on Holly’s birthday, December 22nd, family and friends gather to decorate a magnificent tree displayed in the center of the restaurant dining room. Its presence is a blend of timeless tradition and festive wonder. A breathtaking symbol of celebration and togetherness.

The holidays are just around the corner! Gift-giving becomes even more special when paired with the joy of discovering treasures in a beautifully curated shop or enjoying a delicious meal with family and friends.
