Tom Torrens Wall Gongs are formed and welded from recycled and industrial materials. They will age naturally, or you can preserve their current patina with an annual coat of clear varnish.

This Wall Gong is one of the most popular pieces that Tom Torrens produces for the Phoenix Shop. It includes the attached wooden hammer and the wall mount.

For thirty five years Tom Torrens has strived to produce quality designed functional works of art from recycled and industrial materials which are pleasing to the senses.

Mr. Torrens comes from a family of successful artists and educators. His mother an art instructor, his father a professor of world history, his uncle a graphic designer and his sister an illustrator of wild flowers. Mr. Torrens' son, James Torrens has studied sculpture at Kansas City Art Institute, photo video, design and animation and is a graduate from Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, Canada. In 2006 James began working with his father to make Tom Torrens Sculpture Designs,Inc a second generation company.
